Minot flood protection leaders seek $679 million in new state funding

The Souris River Joint Board is preparing to ask North Dakota lawmakers for a long-term funding commitment of nearly $679 million to complete the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project, a request officials say could allow the remaining work to be finished in about 12 to 14 years.
