NDSCS unveils new agriculture center, lab

WAHPETON — A North Dakota college is changing the game when it comes to teaching cutting-edge agriculture. North Dakota State College of Science cut the ribbon on its new agricultural center on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Kosel Family Agriculture Lab at NDSCS is looking to push the boundary of what hands-on learning in agriculture can look like. The lab is an expansion of the recently renovated agriculture center. "I feel like this year we're being able to utilize that data from the land lab a lot more in our classes, especially in the ones geared more towards precision ag," said Jenilynn Hanson, a second-year student. NDSCS is working to stay ahead of the curve with real-world field experience in crop production, soil science and precision farming, officials said.
